Defending world champion will run his first 100m of the season in Eugene.
American record holder Tyson Gay will run his first 100m of the season at the USA Track and Field Championships in Eugene, Oregon next week. As defending World champion Gay gets a bye into the World Championships and therefore is using the US Championships as a test. Gay has not ruled out running all three rounds, but has only stated he will run a very hard effort in the opening round to gauge his fitness.
