TrainingPeaks has been selected as the official training software of the American Cancer Society’s endurance event program, DetermiNation, offering participants free training plans from Joe Friel and Hal Higdon. With these training plans, participating athletes will arrive at races well-prepared, enjoying their event experiences and improved health while being encouraged to return year after year with sustainable support to help save lives from cancer.
“We are honored to be given this opportunity to support the American Cancer Society’s mission to prevent cancer and save lives through providing participants in their nationwide endurance event program with the training plans they need to have a great experience,” affirmed Gear Fisher, COO of Peaksware.
American Cancer Society DetermiNation program participants will have their choice of 10 Friel-designed triathlon plans for various lengths and abilities and seven Higdon-engineered marathon and half-marathon outlines. Event participants will receive daily email workout reminders, and they may track their progress toward race day in their TrainingPeaks account, which is compatible with more than 80 popular training devices, from heart rate monitors to GPS tracking devices.
