The IAAF has allowed six athletes, removed from the world championships by Jamaican officials, back in to the meet.
Usain Bolt says that the training camp issues, involving Asafa Powell and five other Jamaican athletes, will not effect the team in Berlin. It was announced that Powell, the former 100m world record holder, along with five other athletes would be banned from running in Berlin due to the fact that they missed a pre-meet training camp. The IAAF intervened and convinced Jamaican officials to allow the athletes in to the meet.
Jamaican officials later commented that it is more important to have the best team possible in Berlin, and the consequences of the punishments would hurt the team.
The Jamiacan men and women will look to repeat their wins in Beijing in both 4X100m relay races.
