Tyson Gay lowered the American record to 9.69 Sunday, while fellow American Carmelita Jeter became the second-fastest perform of all time with a 10.64 clocking.

Gay’s time matched Usain Bolt’s world record time from Beijing last year. Unfortunately for Gay, Bolt has since lowered the mark to 9.59.
