I am a ex College Basketball player who ballooned up to 360lbs. With bad knees and bad eating habits. After seeing mst people in my family come down with cancer, hypertension and other chronic illnesses I decided to do somethig about it. Working out just caused pain no real resultsuntil I discoered alkaline water. I have been drinking alkaline regularly and in since and Jan1st, 2010 I have lost over 20bls and my blood pressure has been lowered. I am now up to 40 mins on the eliptical machine (burning 500 calories), 400 straight crunches and then shoot baskets for 30 mins. I have my life back at 48 years old!!!

I am so happy with akaline water I became a distributor educating everyone I could on the importance of changing your water and eatng right.

Fruits and vegetables of the base-producing (i.e. alkaline) variety also are believed to be protective against cancer, as cancer likes an acidic environment. Also, exercise produces lactic acid in the muscles, so additional fruits and vegetables should be added to your diet on exercise days. Something to note about pH (measurement of acid or base) is that it is measured on a logarithmic base 10 scale, which means that pH 9 is 10 times as alkaline as pH 8. If you have the right balance and you test using pH paper from a health food store (or otherwise), your saliva should be strongly alkaline (pH 8.0 or so) and your urine should be slightly acidic (pH 6.5 or so). Note also that, just as the video points out, it is not whether the food is acidic outside the body, it is whether, when digested in your body, the food breaks apart to form a hydrogen ion (H+), which is acidic, or whether it breaks apart to form a negatively charged hydroxide ion (OH-), which is basic (alkaline).
