IOC Panel Recommends Medical Treatment Of Gender Ambiguity Cases

Meeting partially spawned from Caster Semenya debate.
A group of leading sports medicine experts, assembled by the International Olympic Committee (IOC), met in Miami to come up with a plan for how to deal with gender ambiguity cases, like the one of South African Caster Semenya. The panel decided that these type of cases should be dealt with as medical cases not issues of fairness. If a person is found to fall under this umbrella the panel suggests they are given treatment as any medical condition would.
