Lagat Wins Record Eighth Milrose Games Mile

American Bernard Lagat defeated a strong field to take his record eighth Wannamaker Mile at the 2010 Milrose Games in New York. Lagat easily outdistanced former Olympic gold medalist Asbel Kiprop of Kenya, 3:56.44 to 3:58.03. Andy Baddeley of Great Britain just missed taking down the Olympic champion, clocking 3:58.09 for third.
