World record holder to test fitness over longer distance.
Jamaican sprint world record holder Usain Bolt has announced he will open his 2010 season on February 13th in Jamaica. Bolt will use the race as a way to ease back in to his racing schedule for 2010. Short sprinters will often move up in distance early in the season to gain strength and test fitness.
Bolt has announced his first major test over 200m will be at New York’s adidas Grand Prix in June.
