INDIANAPOLIS – Iowa State’s Lisa Koll has been named USA Track & Field’s Athlete of the Week after setting a collegiate record in the women’s 10,000 meters Friday at the Stanford Invitational in Stanford, Calif.

The 2010 NCAA Indoor 5,000m champion, Koll dominated the women’s 10,000m, crossing the line in a collegiate record and world-leading 31:18.07. It is the sixth-fastest time ever by an American. Her nearest competitor, runner-up Krisztina Papp, was almost 30 seconds back at 31:46.47. The previous record of 31:25.45 was set by nine-time NCAA champion Sally Kipyego in 2008.
