The South African had not competed since her 2009 world championship.
Reigning 800m world champion Caster Semenya of South Africa has announced she will return to action on June 24th in Zaragoza, Spain. The 19 year old has been baned from competition due to her pending gender test conducted by the IAAF after her world championship.
Earlier this month Semenya was told she could not compete due to the uncertainty of her gender tests. According to her lawyers she has decided that her career is being slowed by this ban and that she is ready to compete as soon as possible.
