Find a friend, lace up your shoes and hit the roads for a run today.

While there’s never a bad day to be a runner, there’s no better day than today to lace up your shoes and run a few miles with friends.

Today, June 2nd, runners across the country are encouraged to take part in the second annual National Running Day, a nationwide initiative by different organizations within the running industry designed to promote running as a healthy, easy and accessible form of exercise.

Running clubs, specialty stores, schools and businesses across the country are sponsoring organized group runs to celebrate the benefits of running as part of a healthy and active lifestyle aimed at combating some of today’s most pressing health issues. For more information, or to find a running event in your neck of the woods, visit National Running Day’s official website or join its official Facebook group.
