Farah Takes 10K At Euro Championships

Thompson snags silver as Brits go 1-2 on Tuesday night.

Great Britain’s Mo Farah, employing a furious last lap finish, won the 10,000 meters in 28:24.99 at the European Championships in Barcelona, Spain on Tuesday night.

Finishing a few seconds behind Farah was his countryman Chris Thompson (28:27.33), who kicked past Italy’s Danielle Meucci to claim runner-up honors. With his win, Farah became the first Briton in history to claim gold in the 10,000 meters at the European Championships.
