Ruling regarding Olympic medals coming soon.
The Court of Arbitration for Sport in Lausanne, Switzerland said on Thursday that it will soon issue its ruling on the appeal against the disqualification of Marion Jones’ medal-winning relay teammates at the 2000 Sydney Olympics.
The International Olympic Committee took back the medals in 2007 after Jones admitted using performance-enhancing drugs. Jones and teammates Jearl Miles-Clark, Monique Hennagan, LaTasha Colander Clark and Andrea Anderson won gold in the 4×400 relay. In the 4×100 relay, Jones took bronze along with Chryste Gaines, Torri Edwards, Nanceen Perry and Passion Richardson.
