Marathon world record holder welcomes Raphael into the world.

Paula Radcliffe, the fastest women’s marathoner in history who shared the same due date as top American marathoner Kara Goucher, gave birth to a baby boy–Raphael–on Wednesday.

“So happy to announce that Raphael arrived at 19.28. Our gorgeous little boy now sleeping peacefully,” Radcliffe announced on her Twitter page.

This is the second child for Radcliffe and her husband, former Irish 1,500-meter runner Gary Lough, whose daughter Isla was born in January of 2007. Goucher and her husband Adam became parents for the first time on Saturday, giving birth to Colton Mirko Goucher, who weighed in at 7.1 pounds.
