Middle distance stars Shannon Rowbury and Alan Webb will appear at the New York Road Runners Young Professionals Committee Fall Happy Hour on Thursday, September 23, in New York City.

Rowbury, the 2009 World Championships 1,500-meter bronze medalist, and Webb, the U.S. record holder for the mile, will meet and greet attendees, help give away merchandise, sign autographs and share stories about their careers.  Money raised will go to help the NYRR’s children’s running programs.

The event will be held at the Heartland Brewery, Fifth Avenue and 34th Street in Manhattan, from 7:00 to 10:00 p.m.  Tickets cost $35 in advance ($40 at the door) and cover unlimited beer, wine and burgers, plus a chance to meet the stars.
