Rolling this much comfort and support into such a lightweight package is an accomplishment that has our testers raining unanimous accolades. It’s ideal for fast-paced training sessions and those who want a stable and rather firm racing shoe with a snug, close fit and roomy toe box. The ride is springy. As one tester says of the flex performance: “It is just right, not too stiff but not so soft that I feel they are unsupportive.” The only question is whether to categorize them as flats or trainers—the answer being they are in between, depending on individual needs and preferences.
