This healthy mixture can be used as a dipping oil, dressing or marinade!

This recipe is a collaboration between my husband and me, hence the name. We originally made it as dipping oil for fresh bread but have since used it for salad dressing and marinades on chicken, meat or fish.
½ cup extra virgin olive oil
½ cup balsamic vinegar
1 clove garlic, crushed and minced
2 teaspoons honey
1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
½ teaspoon chili flakes
2 teaspoons each rosemary and thyme, finely chopped
Pour oil in bowl. Rapidly whisk the oil while adding the vinegar (this helps emulsify the two ingredients). Add other ingredients and mix well. Store in an airtight container out of direct sunlight.
We have found that it tastes even better the second day.
Your benefits: A good-quality extra virgin olive oil has essential fatty acids, which help you maintain healthy cells and tissues throughout your entire body. An added benefit of consuming olive oil this time of year is not needing to use much moisturizer as the weather dries; you are being moisturized from the inside out.
