Thousands of runners from around the world took part in the Continental Airlines International Friendship Run on Saturday, a two-mile fun run that took place the day before the 2010 New York City Marathon. Former marathon world-record holder Paul Tergat of Kenya was also recognized on Saturday morning, as he was given the Abebe Bikila Award for outstanding contributions to the sport of distance running.
