2010 Winter Running Shoe Review Homepage

With universal appeal to our testers, the GEL 1160 accommodated their feet while in motion. It was deemed comfortable by all for its cradling heel cup, encompassing midfoot fit and generous amount of space in the toe box. This high-value, lightweight performance trainer offers a good deal of impact absorption, flex and moderate posting of the new midsole design. However, those who need a lot of support or motion control probably shouldn’t wear the 1160 on longer runs.

Tester’s Take: “Overall a great feel, but not the high-mileage shoe for me due to lack of support. The shoe envelops around the midfoot area.”
