2010 Winter Running Shoe Review
The Oroc 340 is all about purchase. Inov-8 embedded tungsten carbide spikes in dual-compound aggressive rubber cleats give the 340 unmatched retractable traction for soft or slippery surfaces. After running in them, our testers were itching to try them out on ice and snow. As is the case with Inov-8’s performance-oriented orienteering and trail race-ready shoes, the 340 has a narrow fit throughout the foot, like that of a cross-country racer. And the low profile gives a real feel for the trail, resulting in a responsive ride and agile feel.
Tester’s Take: “I took these shoes for a joy ride time and time again, up and down mountains, with never ever the slightest hint of slipping.”
