2010 Winter Running Shoe Review

The Pursuit could have been called the “Pleasant Surprise” because it impressed all of the testers who tried it and found that, despite its initial rigidity, it felt flexible in action and quite stable. The Pursuit is well cushioned and its firm triple-density EVA midsole serves well to protect the foot from otherwise penetrating rocks or roots. The fit is a close one, especially in the midfoot, and that serves well for dexterity on technical terrain, which is the highest calling of these GORE-Tex waterproof shoes.

Tester’s Take: “When I first put these on they felt great. I was a little concerned with how stiff they felt, so I had to take them out for a run. Once I started pounding the rocks and roots of the trees, these shoes performed exceptionally well.”
