2011 NYC Half Marathon Elite Women's Race
Kara Goucher finished third in 1:09:03, a huge improvement over her second-place finish in 1:14:02 at P.F. Chang's Rock 'n' Roll Arizona in January.
It was a tight fight to the finish this morning in the elite women’s race at the New York City Half Marathon. Kenyan Caroline Rotich was first across the line in 1:08:52. She was followed closely by countrywoman and 2010 New York City Marathon champion Edna Kiplagat (1:09:00) in second, while American Kara Goucher placed third in 1:09:03.
