He will be traveling to 13 cities.

In an interview with Running Times reporter Brian Metzler, “Born to Run” author Chris McDougall divulged that he will be embarking on a  minimalist revival called the “Naked Tour.”

McDougall said he based the tour on the cabaret event that was held last November before the ING New York City Marathon and will visit 13 cities.

“That was the first and only one we’ve done, but it was so cool and so weird and so fun that I thought, “Rather than do a book tour when the paperback comes out, let’s do the same thing.” Rather than talking about running, let’s actually run,” he said. Joining McDougall on the tour will be Harvard professor Dr. Dan Lieberman.

In the interview, McDougall also confirmed rumors that his bestselling book will be turned into a Hollywood movie. He said that actor Peter Sarsgaard is helping write the screen play. “There’s a producer, a director and a script, so I think the next step was to lock it in with a studio,” he noted.
