Our crew went to Flagstaff, Arizona on March 28 and spent the day with American marathoner Ryan Hall, who is preparing for his third-straight Boston Marathon on April 18. On this day Hall ran his last big workout before Boston, a 15-mile tempo run on Lake Mary Road, elevation: 6,943 feet. Hall completed the run, accompanied by his friend Billy Herman alongside him on the bike, in 1:16:45, an average of 5:07 per mile. Check out these great photos from before, during and after Hall’s workout. Photos by James Cassimus.
