Austin-Based Flocasts Names New CEO

He will head a company that streams four million athletic videos a month.

Flocasts, the Austin-based digital media company best known for its head-on video interviews with athletes on, has named a new president and chief operating officer.  Kevin Reinis, most recently the CEO of NetStreams –a technology innovator for networked video, audio and control– will now lead Flocasts, according to Martin and Mark Floreani who founded the business in 2006. “Reinis brings significant seasoned leadership and experience to our team and company,” said Martin Floreani through a statement.  “He is a great fit with our team and culture to lead us to the next level of success for Flocasts and our growing communities.”

Floreani describes Flocasts as “the leader in online digital media for passion driven sports.”  The company provides coverage of athletics, wrestling, gymnastics, sailing and cyclocross.  The company says it streams four million videos a month to their user community. In addition, the company also announced that Martin Floreani will assume a newly created role as chief community officer. “I am thrilled to join the Flocasts team at this exciting time in their history,” Reinis said.  “The Flocasts team has a deep love and passion for the communities they are an integral part of.  Flocasts has seen significant growth due to the unique value that they are bringing to the communities we serve.”
