He did it under two hours.

After losing 92 pounds in a year, comedian Drew Carey has added another notch to his ever-shrinking belt: finishing a half marathon in under two hours. Carey, a former Marine, completed the Marine Corps Historic Half Marathon in Fredericksburg, Virginia last weekend.

His time was 1:58:20.

“With all these Marines around, you don’t want to embarrass yourself,” said the host of the game show The Price Is Right. “I’m not going to quit or stop or slow down. Not in front of all these Marines, are you kidding me?”

During Carey’s weight loss routine, he had planned on completing the 13.1-mile race.

“The whole time I was doing it, I thought, ‘I’m going to run the Marine Corps Half Marathon and Marine Corps Marathon.’ I kept imagining myself back running. I got a perfect score on my physical fitness test once. And I would imagine myself running back in the Marines,” he recalled.

Carey is now eyeing the marathon. He thinks he can break four hours now that he’s clocked a sub-two-hour half marathon.
