Now Foods Issues Recall of Calcium, Magnesium Supplements

The company has received reports of nausea and elevated blood vitamin D levels tied to the use of the products.

Now Foods has recalled its calcium and magnesium supplements due to excessive amounts of vitamin D3. The products contain 10,000 to 13,000 international units per one softgel as compared to the labeled 200 international units per one softgel.

The company has received reports of nausea and elevated blood vitamin D levels tied to the use of the products. Symptoms of high vitamin D intake can also include fatigue, headaches and loss of appetite.

Customers can return the product to the store where they purchased it for a full refund or replacement; no receipt is required. The affected U.S. product codes are 1251 and 1252.
