    I started flipping through this gem earlier this week. Chock full of practical advice, this new book by Scott Douglas is an easy read and is worth having handy if you're a runner.

    Motivator Neuro Brain Boosters

    This mental energy formula has been sitting at my desk for a few weeks now. It's supposed to enhance mental and physical performance. I'm skeptical of any product that misspells "neuro" on the bottle.

    Karhu Strong Fulcrum Ride 2

    Generation UCAN

    Nutrition products of all sorts find their way to my desk often enough I could probably sustain myself for a week! These drink mixes from Generation UCAN come in handy when I need to fuel for a long run...or if I can't sneak away from my desk for a snack.

Mario Fraioli

Mario Fraioli is a senior editor at Competitor magazine. A cross-country All-American at Stonehill College in 2003, he now coaches the Prado Women's Racing Team in San Diego and was the men's marathon coach for Costa Rica's 2012 Olympic team. His first book, The Official Rock 'n' Roll Guide To Marathon & Half-Marathon Training (VeloPress, 2013) is available in bookstores, running shops and online.
