About The Mall
An iconic London landmark, The Mall was created as a ceremonial route in the early 20th century and remains a popular backdrop for formal ceremonies and major sporting events, such as the London Marathon.

Watching the Olympic Marathon, 50K Race Walk and road cycling events is free, but spectators can purchase tickets to a limited number of select viewing areas.
After the Games
Following the Paralympic Games, all temporary structures will be dismantled and The Mall returned to its usual state.
