47-year-old passed away after arriving at the hospital.

A few days after an Israeli soldier died in the Tel Aviv Half Marathon, another runner passed away during the Barcelona Marathon.

The Associated Press reports that a 47-year-old man had a heart attack during Sunday’s race. He was taken to the hospital and died shortly after arriving.

Gezahgne Abrera and Lemelen Berha, both Ethiopians, won the men’s and women’s titles.
