One is a London Olympics silver medalist.

Two Russian athletes were banned this week after it was discovered that they failed drug tests last year.

The most prominent is Darya Pishchalnikova, who won the discus silver medal at the London Olympics. She tested positive for an anabolic steroid in a May 2012 test.

It was the second time Pishchalnikova had been caught taking an illegal substance, so her ban is for 10 years. The 27-year-old’s results from May 20, 2012 and on will be erased, so she’ll lose the Olympic medal.

Also failing a PED test was Yelena Arzhakova. The reigning 800m European champion’s biological passport revealed an “abnormal haemoglobin profile,” according to the Russian Athletics Federation via Reuters.

Her two-year ban retroactively begins on Jan. 29 of this year, and she will lose all results from July 12, 2011 — including her 2012 European title in the 800m.
