She will be there with husband Adam to talk about parenting and running.
She’s one of the most recognizable faces of American distance running and on Saturday, Aug. 31, Olympian Kara Goucher will be the featured speaker at the Oregon Wine Country Half Marathon.
Goucher, who finished 11th in the 2012 Olympic Marathon, will appear at the expo with her husband, former elite competitor Adam Goucher. Kara will speak about her experiences at the Olympics as well as how she balances motherhood and the demands of world-class running.
According to a release on the Running USA website, the Gouchers will be available to meet fans from 3:30-5:30 p.m. at the Evergreen Aviation & Space Museum.
And at 4 p.m., she will conduct a Q&A with runners who are there to pick up their bib for the scenic 13.1-mile race that is celebrating its fourth edition. Approximately 2,000 runners are expected to take part. The race begins at Stoller Family Estate Winery in Willamette Valley, Ore., and finishes in downtown Carlton at Main and Pine Streets.
