The scenic and storied South African race takes place next April.

The 2014 edition of South Africa’s famous Two Oceans Marathon, a 35-mile ultra, kicks off next April. In order to get runners motivated, organizers have just released a promotional video that can be found here.

The nine-minute clip is also instructional, offering viewers a chance to see what to expect if they take part in the actual ultra, or other events held the weekend of April 18-19 such as the half-marathon and various fun runs.

Two Oceans calls itself “the world’s most beautiful marathon”. In total, approximately 30,000 competitors take part.

The race dates back to 1970.

South Africa’s David Gatebe won the men’s ultra this year, while Natalia Volgina was the first female to finish.
