Every year the Darth Valley Challenge takes place on the hottest day in Death Valley, in which some crazy individual dresses up in a Star Wars costume (in this case Darth Vader) and runs a mile as fast as he or she can. It sounds dangerous and a tad ridiculous, but it’s worth this hilarious video we found capturing the 2010 challenge. The 2013 Darth Vader record was 6:13 for the mile in 129-degree heat. Impressive.
