Football season is right around the corner, and that means you can finish a race on the 50-yard-line in several NFL stadiums.
The second year of the NFL Back to Football Run Series has expanded to 12 teams, and it started with the July 21 Bolt to the Q 5K at Qualcomm Stadium in San Diego. Each event includes a 5K race, an NFL PLAY 60 Fun Run and activities to celebrate the start of the new season. (For details, visit www.NFLRunSeries.com.)
Although not part of the series, the Green Bay Packers hosted the 4th annual Packers 5K on July 26, the Pittsburgh Steelers will host the 25th annual Gatorade-Steelers 5K on Aug. 31, the Oakland Raiders are organizing the Back to Football Run 5K on Sept. 14 and the Houston Texans are putting on the third annual Running with the Bulls 5K on Sept. 22.
Shoulder pads are optional, but be sure to practice your touchdown celebration in advance.
