Running USA reports about a trio of top competitors who will be racing in the Great GO! St. Louis Halloween Race.
ST.LOUIS, Mo. — GO! St. Louis, a local not-for-profit organization that specializes in providing fitness events and programs for the region on a year-round basis, announced today that the elite athlete field for the 2013 Great GO! St. Louis Halloween Race, which includes Missouri’s largest 10K race is starting to take shape. Headlining the men’s field are three athletes from Team RunFan in Flagstaff, Ariz. — Jordan Chipangama, Matt Llano and Eric Fernandez.
Chipangama, 25, returns to the Gateway City, after finishing second in the 2013 GO! St. Louis Half Marathon in April, where he posted a time of 1 hour, 3 minutes, 22 seconds — second to record-setter Aaron Braun’s 1:03:13.
Llano, 25, also competed in the 2013 GO! St. Louis Half Marathon, finishing sixth. His has a 28:43 PR in the 10K and is coming off a seventh place finish earlier this month at the U.S. 20K Championships. Most recently, he finished third at the Great Cow Harbor 10K in Northport, New York over the weekend.
