In a former life, I followed the Rock ‘n’ Roll Marathon Series around the country, met dozens of charities, and shelved my comfort zone of “never leaving California.” Although my journey toward Southwest Airlines A-List status ended this past May, I still dream of early-morning sprees in new cities and the free hours on the road to explore new food.

Here are some of my behind-the-scene favorite RNR places to lace up and explore a new zip code (note: this is not an exhaustive list of all faves — just some standouts that you must experience for yourself)

Do you have a favorite Rock ‘n’ Roll destination? Tweet @caitpilk and tell me about it!
