The limited edition Skechers GOMeb marathon racing flat, which debuted on Oct. 15, is an updated model of the GORun Speed.

Only 3,300 pairs of this shoe are expected to be available to the public.

The team at the Skechers Performance footwear division has worked with Meb Keflezighi to develop new running shoes since they signed the 2004 Olympic silver medalist and 2009 New York City Marathon champion more than two years ago. Most recently, Skechers developed a custom shoe for Meb to wear in the Nov. 3 New York City Marathon. A slight update of the GORun Speed shoe that debuted earlier this year, the GOMeb marathon racing flat is available in limited quantities at selected retailers in and around New York City. The gold, gray and black color hues will match the Skechers running kit Meb will be wearing in the race. (The pair of shoes Meb will be wearing will be built off of a custom last to accommodate for his exceptionally narrow feet.) The GoMeb ($110) weighs 6.8 oz. for a men’s size 9, has a 4mm heel-toe drop and has a lightweight interior shank for an added touch of stability.
