Shamarko Thomas, safety for the Pittsburgh Steelers, is fast. So fast that he fell hard on his face running the 40-meter dash at the NFL Scouting Combine this past February. Like, really HARD. Despite his embarrassing fall, though, he ran a 4.42, which was the fastest of any safety at the Combine that day. As a result, Shamarko Thomas was signed on by the Pittsburgh Steelers. Moral of the story? Don’t put on the brakes. It will slow you down. If you must fall at the finish line, know that you will look like a fool, but a victorious one.
