He’s won it four straight times.
Even though he was on a winning pace, Jesus Campos of Fresno, Calif. was able to find the energy to high five spectators at the conclusion of last weekend’s Two Cities Marathon.
The 28-year-old teacher has dominated the annual race, winning it four straight times, according to the Fresno Bee.
He came across the line in 2:2920. Campos’ sub-three-hour marathon was fast, but far from his personal best of 2:24:27.
Jay Yee Hung of Albuquerque, N.M. came across the line a full three minutes later.
“I ran hard and just wanted to keep my pace,” Campos said. “I could feel it in the first half of the race and I pushed through that in the last half.” Last weekend, Campos finished third at the Heraldsburg Wine Country Half.
Brittani Snyder came across the line first in the women’s division. Her time was 3:28:54. It was only the 34-year-old’s third marathon.
