Toeing the starting line on race day is nerve wracking. Finding your way in a sea of thousands of runners, a usually far too early start time, and the butterflies of wondering if and how fast you’ll make it to the finish line can be a little overwhelming. To ease the tension, Competitor talked with Santa Barbara International Marathon co-race director Rusty Snow to get his take on the most important tips to remember on race day.
