They can run, but can they catch?
Distance runners and authors of Running the Edge, Adam Goucher and Tim Catalano will be running the Denver Colfax Marathon with former NFL Pro Bowl quarterback Brian Griese on May 18. More importantly, they are running in support of Judi’s House, a local non-profit founded by Griese that helps children and families who are grieving the death of a loved one find healing. To promote their relay team in the upcoming marathon they’ve created this short and goofy film on “go long” in football.
However, after several failed attempts to catch the ball, Goucher, a former U.S. Olympian and NCAA champion, and his buddy (and former University of Colorado track teammate) Catalano, have demonstrated that perhaps they better stick to what they know best — running. They’ve taken the term “going long” too seriously and leave Griese in the dust for several miles. Let’s hope Griese proves to be a better runner than Goucher and Catalano’s football playing abilities.
