Photos: Boulder Fun Run With Kara Goucher

The two-time Olympian ran with hundreds of her fans on Wednesday night.

Two-time Olympian Kara Goucher dropped by the Boulder Running Company in Boulder, Colo., on Wednesday as part of a Nuun and Competitor fun run. Kara graces the cover of the July issue of Competitor, so she got her first glimpse of the issue at the same time runners and fans did. Although a major rainstorm passed through the city as runners and fans were arriving, the weather cleared in time for about 300 runners to head out for a 6-mile run around town. Kara signed autographs for fans, talked about the importance of hydration, helped raffle off schwag from Nuun, Oiselle, Soleus, Avery Brewing Company and the June 29 Heart & Sole Half Marathon, engaged the crowd with a Q&A about her training and talked about her excitement for being back in Boulder. She says she’s completely healthy and has been logging miles on the trails around Boulder and some of the rural roads north of town as she starts to prepare for a fall marathon.
