Runners Rock Out at Rock ‘n’ Roll Dublin Half Marathon

Spectacular weather for running greeted runners in Dublin as British Olympian Scott Overall took the men’s title with a time of 1 hour, 5 minutes and 19 seconds, while Sarah Mulligan was the first female finisher in 1:16:02. The race doubled as Ireland’s National Half Marathon Championships.

Runners from all over Ireland, and every corner of the world, descended on Dublin this morning for the second annual Rock ‘n’ Roll Dublin Half Marathon. The 13.1 mile race started at the Docklands alongside the River Liffey, taking in the north and south quays, Christchurch, the Guinness Brewery, Royal Hospital Kilmainham and the Phoenix Park – a spectacular introduction to Dublin for the 3,500 overseas visitors to the city.
