We cruised the aisles of the Salt Palace Convention Center at the Outdoor Retailer Winter Market Jan. 9-12 to see the latest and greatest shoes, clothes and accessories that will be coming out this spring, summer and fall. Skechers Performance GoMeb Speed 4, $120
The marathon racing shoe of American running legend Meb Keflezighi has been updated with a new cutaway rubber outsole, a slightly firmer midsole foam and a update thermoplastic propulsion plate. It retains the 4mm heel-toe offset and weighs in at 6.9 oz. (for a men's size 9.0). Meb will race in a version of this shoe at the 2017 Boston Marathon.

Salomon Elevate 3in1 Rain Combi (women), $175
Two different pieces can be worn in three different ways for ultimate flexibility when it comes to battling the elements. Wear the DWR treated windproof vest (with a breathable mesh back) on breezy days, and the hooded, waterproof shell on damp days. Use both layers for a complete and breathable protection system.

Glerups Felt Shoes, $95
These simple but amazingly comfortable shoes are made from natural wool with a soft calfskin outsole. They're an ideal post-run recovery shoe, as they have a cushioned footbed and allow feet to move naturally and uninhibited.

MojiHeat Massage Tools, $25-$60
These may look like regular massagers and rollers, but they are designed to be heated in the microwave resulting in a soothing, even warmth that helps to loosen tight tissues for more effective rolling and self-massage. MojiHeat Roller, $70; 4” Ball (shown in orange and black), $40; 2” Ball, $25; Dual Curve, $60. This line will be available late spring.

In another win for winter running, Kahtoola now makes gaiters to integrate with their winter performance spikes. They are designed to hook to spikes with a six-clip system, and then have a zipper so you can take the gaiter and running spikes off in one easy-to-remove unit. The zipper also means you can leave the set up on your favorite pair of winter running shoes and simply zip in and out as needed.

Crescent Moon EVA the All Foam Snowshoe, $149
Snowshoe technology has remained more or less the same since its inception and the advent of aluminum-framed shoes decades ago. Born of the designer’s love for Hoka One One shoes, these have a one-piece, three-density molded foam design (that includes the underfoot traction), no hinge or metal frame (meaning no awkward noise and no moving parts) and an easy to use Velcro binding all paired with a rockered design. The goal is to break down the entry barriers for those who don’t think snowshoes are for them, and to provide an easy to use design for snowshoers of every ability. The top layer of foam is softer and absorbent, while the bottom layer is firm and supportive, and includes a durable polymer traction cleat insert.

Cotopaxi 3L Running Pack, $130
Cotopaxi is expanding its technical line with a pack for on the run hydration. Generous front (large enough to hold soft flasks) and back zippered pockets, a hydration bladder, wide straps and a unique x-style closure are the hallmarks of this new design that will be available this spring.

The North Face LIghtwave Ampere 2 HC, $110
This winterirzed training shoe is engineered for indoor and outdoor workouts. It has a soft ankle-wrapping synthetic gaiter shoe that keeps snow and moisture from entering the shoe from the sock. The bottom of the shoe features several flex joints for agility and a sticky rubber outsole for traction on snow and dirt. It has a 6mm heel-toe offset and weighs in at about 10.0 oz. (men's size 9.0).

Brooks Dash Hoody (men), $80
In addition to core running pieces, Brooks continues to expand their line with gear that’s made to run—think technical fabrics, run functional designs and essential details hidden in plain sight—with styles that transcend running. This new hoody for men is made from next-to-skin soft material that wicks and breathes, has hidden thumb holes, reflective detailing and a hood you’ll actually use, but also looks smart enough for wearing casually beyond your run.

Buff Thermonet Hat and Buff, $27
If you’ve ever worn a Buff or scarf over your mouth during cold weather workouts, you’ve undoubtedly noticed that they freeze where you exhale. This new line uses Primaloft yarns for four times more warmth (at the same weight) as original Buffs, plus it doesn’t freeze due to the yarn’s wicking and evaporative properties.

Altra Wasatch Jacket, $199
Waterproof raingear just got a whole lot more comfortable. This high-performance, waterproof jacket has four-way stretch—for unrestricted movement—and doesn’t make a sound. In addition to venting under the arms and a drop tail for additional coverage, the Wasatch has a three-part hood for a fit that moves with you.

Smartwool Merino 250 Base Layer Patterned Crew, $105
Smooth seams, modern patterns and lightweight warmth, make these crew shirts a welcome addition to winter running kits. Not only does wool have natural temperature regulating and anti-smell properties, the seams have been placed to minimize friction from packs and other layers.

Princeton Tec Axis Headlamps, $40-$60
These small and compact headlamps pack an enormous amount of powerful light. They can throw as much as 200 lumens of light on the trail or road ahead of you and burn as long as 120 hours. The version with the rechargeable batteries (green) goes for $60, while the standard AAA-battery model (orange) goes for $40.

Saucony Endless Summer Collection, $110-$160
Continuing on the summer fun theme it started last year with a collection of brilliantly colored shoes, Saucony has created this collection of Endless Summer shoes with a water-themed graphic motif. The collection will include Saucony's Ride 10, Kinvara 8 and Freedom ISO when they debut at running stores in early summer.

OOfos OOmg, $120
If flip-flops aren’t your jam, but you still want to enjoy the dreamy feel of OOfos shoes, these new slip-ons are for you. The same generously cushioned and slightly rockered chassis that feels so good after a run is paired with a breathable mesh upper and strap. In addition to feeling great, these resolve the toe-grip issues common with standard flip flops.
